Veneers
Veneers are thin shells made of porcelain or other premium materials that cover your natural tooth. Veneers are a great solution to hide minor misalignment, chips, cracks, and other imperfections your smile may have. Veneers are an irreversible dentistry procedure because a small amount of enamel must be removed from the front of each tooth for the veneers to sit lie flush with surrounding teeth.
Teeth Whitening
If you're thinking about cosmetic dentistry, but aren't willing to commit to a permanent dentistry procedure like veneers, teeth whitening can transform your smile in a temporary, quick manner. Professional teeth whitening can be completed in one procedure and can give you longer-lasting and more stunning results than over-the-counter whitening strips, toothpaste, and other commercial whitening products.
Dental Implants
Missing teeth can leave noticeable gaps in your smile and cause your bite to sit unevenly. Dental implants are permanent fixtures that act as replacements for your missing tooth roots. Dental crowns or other restorations are placed on top of dental implants to fill in the gap left behind by a missing tooth and restore symmetry to your smile.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
After our dentist removes your tooth's decayed tissue, a cavity is left that can be restored with fillings. Tooth-colored composite fillings are an ideal choice to restore both the function of your tooth and its cosmetic look. Unlike silver amalgam fillings, composite fillings match the shade of your surrounding tooth to blend in seamlessly.
Onlay Restorations
Onlay restorations are a conservative method to repair defective fillings or damage, such as chips or cracks, to the cusps of your teeth. Onlays can cover more surface area around your teeth than fillings can, but are less extensive than crowns. Rather than covering the full cap of the tooth, like a crown, onlays restore only the damaged part of the tooth.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns can be either a cosmetic or restorative dentistry procedure, depending on your reason for undergoing treatment. Crowns can be used in a restorative manner to protect the base of your tooth after a root canal procedure. They can also be used as a cosmetic solution to correct discoloration, chips, cracks, and other concerns that affect the appearance of your smile, but not necessarily your oral health.
What Are Same-Day Crowns?
Thanks to our in-office CEREC machine, we offer same-day crowns at our Salt Lake City office.
With a same-day crown, you won't need to wait weeks to get your smile back. Same-day crowns are customized to fit in with the rest of your smile and can be crafted and placed right after your treatment if you're undergoing root canal therapy or another procedure that may require a crown for structural protection.
